Claude Pro-Abo: Upgrade auf claude.ai, Pro vs Free, Abrechnung und Usage

Pro in Billing → Usage prüfen → Web, Projects, Apps mit einem Konto testen.

You want Claude Pro on claude.ai—Pro models, Projects, and Claude Code on web, mobile, and desktop—not a generic “AI chat” subscription. Official path: sign in → Settings → Billing → Upgrade plan / Get Pro plan → finish checkout. Features and usage caps follow What is the Pro plan? and Settings → Usage; billed amounts appear on anthropic.com/pricing and at checkout—not on blog price tables.

The searchable job is Claude Pro subscription: upgrade on claude.ai, Pro vs Free, manage billing, where Pro shows on web and apps. Trust Anthropic Help and in-account Billing/Usage over third-party “unlimited Opus” screenshots. Pro is consumer claude.ai chat and Claude Code—it does not include Claude Console API billing.

Pro vs Free (what actually changes)

Good fit for Pro

You need Claude Code, more than Free’s Projects cap, Research and extended features, higher model access, and the five-hour session plus weekly usage pool described in the Pro article.

Free may be enough

Occasional short chats, no Projects workflow, no terminal Claude Code—Free can suffice until Usage meters bite daily.

Upgrade to Pro on claude.ai

  1. 01
Sign in with your personal account

Open claude.ai with the account that should own the subscription. Team/Enterprise use organization billing—not this personal Pro path (Pro plan article).

  2. 02
    Open Settings → Billing

Click your initials → Settings → Billing. Free accounts use Upgrade plan (How do I sign up for Claude Pro?). New users may pick Pro during onboarding.

  3. 03
Choose Pro on the upgrade page

Follow Get Pro plan and select monthly or annual billing if both are offered. List prices and currency appear on Anthropic pricing and your checkout screen—App Store or Google Play prices may differ from web.

  4. 04
    Confirm payment

Complete checkout with a supported method. Paid plan billing FAQs cover cards, receipts, and plan changes.

  5. 05
    Verify Billing shows Pro

After success, Billing should list Pro. If it still looks Free, sign out/in or check the email on the receipt (billing FAQ).

  6. 06
    Check Settings → Usage

Open Usage for the five-hour session pool and weekly all-model reset schedule (Pro article). When capped, wait for reset, consider Claude Max, or usage credits if offered in Billing.

Manage billing and cancel

  1. 01
Update card or plan on web

Settings → Billing: change payment method, switch monthly/annual where supported, or upgrade to Max (Billing FAQ).

  2. 02
Cancel on the platform you used

Web/desktop: Settings → Billing → Cancel (Cancel Pro or Max). iOS/Android: Billing from the app menu per the same article. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge (Help).

  3. 03
    After cancel

Paid features run until the current billing period ends, then the account returns to Free tier limits (cancel article).

Where Pro features appear

Web claude.ai
Main chat with Pro-tier models; Projects at claude.ai/projects (Projects Help).
iOS / Android
Official Claude apps—same Anthropic login; Pro should sync (Claude on mobile).
Windows / macOS
Claude for desktop with the same account (Installing Claude for desktop).
Claude Code (terminal)
Included on Pro; terminal usage shares the claude.ai pool (pricing FAQ)—not a separate Pro seat SKU.
Confirm Pro is active
Billing shows Pro; model picker lists Pro models; Projects beyond Free limits; Usage shows paid-tier meters.

First Pro workflow to validate sync

  1. 01
One web chat with a Pro model

New thread, pick Sonnet or Opus (per UI), attach a small text file, ask one verifiable question.

  2. 02
    One Project

Create pro-check with brief instructions plus a tiny knowledge file; chat inside the project (Projects steps).

  3. 03
    Mobile or desktop same account

Sign in on the official app or desktop—no upgrade gate; models match web.

  4. 04
    (Optional) Claude Code

Run one terminal task, then recheck Usage.

Minimum loop: Billing shows Pro → one Pro-model web chat → one Project → phone or desktop with the same account—four steps confirm the subscription synced across clients.

Consumer Pro, not Console API

Higher capacity: Claude Max. IDE tools with your own API key (e.g. Cline) bill via Console. Align “Pro for writing” vs “Copilot in the repo” on one page—use oakmeet (browser room, space code, no account). Limits: eight people, about an hour. Cited research stack: Perplexity Pro.

Where do I see the price?

On anthropic.com/pricing and in checkout after you pick monthly or annual billing. Promotions, tax, and in-app store pricing can differ from web—this page does not quote a fixed USD table.

Pro vs Claude Max?

Max adds higher usage multipliers on top of Pro features. Compare tiers on the pricing page and our Max guide; upgrade only if Pro Usage meters stay too tight.

App Store vs web subscription?

Both can be Pro, but Apple/Google may bill and cancel differently from claude.ai web. Follow Cancel Pro or Max for your platform.

Does Pro include API quota?

No. Console API at console.anthropic.com bills separately from consumer Pro.

Why no fixed “messages remaining”?

Usage depends on message length, attachments, model, and features—Anthropic does not publish a fixed daily message count. Trust Settings → Usage and the Pro article.
